About Me

I’m trained as a birth & postpartum doula through the National Black Doulas Association and I’m a certified breastfeeding specialist (CBS) through Lactation Education Resources.

My journey to birth work started with my origin story. I’ve been passionate about family preservation before I even knew the term. I lost my birth mother in childbirth in Haiti, making me an orphan. I didn’t learn about doulas until I was grown, but I always knew I wanted to be part of the work that is keeping families safe, together, and informed. Professionally, my background is in public health and health advocacy. I’ve supported folks diagnosed with mental health & substance use disorders, chronic illnesses including HIV/AIDS, folks who identify outside of the sexuality/gender binary, and those who carry other identities of the global majority. I am passionate about informed decision making to help people come to the best decisions for themselves and their families.

Our healthcare system can be so daunting! Especially in reproductive care - and especially for those of us who hold identities such as Black, Indigenous, LGBTQ, immigrant, etc. So much of our medical system and the perinatal period can feel unknown until you are in the throes of it and are expected to just trust the system.
Our bodies and the ways we are cared for should not be a mystery.

Birth is transformative and can be an empowering and incredible experience. You know your body best. I am here to be your ally and support- to ensure your needs are heard, questions are answered, and options are given. I believe that all birthing people deserve safe & dignified birth experiences. Let’s make that happen regardless of the unknowns.

Outside of doula work, I love dreaming and learning through reading and new trainings/certifications. I love nurturing my houseplants, learning about herbs and plant medicine, traveling, enjoying meals with friends and family, and indulging in a good tv binge :) I also work at a human donor milk bank as the Director of Donor Screening & Engagement, where I support new donors through our screening process to provide donor human milk to medically fragile babies. I live in Worcester County, and I support birthing people in central MA, the Boston area, and surrounding towns.
I look forward to chatting with you!
