A Bit About Me

I believe birth should feel safe, informed, affirming, and supportive. My work is rooted in advocacy, cultural humility, and helping families feel supported in making the decisions that are right for them throughout the perinatal period. You deserve care that feels respectful, personal, and grounded in dignity.

I’m a birth and postpartum doula, breastfeeding specialist, childbirth educator, learning student midwife, and public health professional. I am passionate about reproductive justice and community-centered care. I support families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and all the emotional and physical transitions that can come with this journey.

My journey to birth work is deeply personal. I lost my birth mother during childbirth in Haiti, making me an orphan. Long before I knew what a doula was, I knew I cared about family preservation, advocacy, and ensuring people were not alone. I was an advocate and educator before I was a doula. I’ve supported families and people throughout my career in sexual health education and testing, HIV prevention and community services, addiction and recovery, housing insecurity, reentry, etc. Now, as a birth worker I help people feel informed, protected, held, and celebrated through one of life’s biggest transitions.

Our healthcare system can feel so daunting, especially for those of us navigating it as Black, Indigenous, POC, queer, immigrant, disabled, or otherwise marginalized identities. Too often, people are expected to blindly trust systems that do not prioritize us while moving through incredibly vulnerable experiences. I believe everyone deserves clear information, affirming support, and care that honors their autonomy. My role is never to tell someone what decisions to make, but to help them feel informed, confident, and supported in whatever choices feel right for them. I value collaboration, consent, curiosity, softness, and creating space for people to show up exactly as they are.

I especially value supporting Black and brown families, queer families, first-time parents, neurodivergent clients, and those navigating high-risk, complex, or emotionally tender reproductive experiences. I strive to provide grounding care that is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and centered around dignity, connection, and trust.

Outside of birth work, I’m usually tending to my plants, studying midwifery or plant medicine, traveling, sharing meals with loved ones, or curled up watching a good TV show. I deeply value community, curiosity, softness, and care in all parts of my life — not just professionally.

Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating postpartum, processing previous experiences, or simply looking for support that feels collaborative and affirming, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
